Trombonist, improviser, and composer Jeb Bishop has been based in Chicago since the early 1990s. He has performed thousands of concerts at clubs and festivals in North America and Europe, with many different groups. The new CD by the Jeb Bishop Trio will appear in 2010, as will new recordings by The Engines and the Peter Brötzmann Chicago Tentet. Jeb also appears on the new CD by Hamid Drake's Bindu, called Reggaeology (RogueArt); this band completed a tour of Europe in February 2010. Other upcoming recordings featuring Jeb include CDs by the Keefe Jackson Quartet (Clean Feed) and by Jorrit Dijkstra's Pillow Circles (Clean Feed).
